Help needed on L1 and L2

Hi,
My husband is in US on L1B visa. His visa is expiring in may 2011, though his I94 is valid till 2014.
I had applied L1B visa too which got rejected.
Questions:
1. Can i apply L2 even if his visa expiring?
2. Will my L1 rejection have any impact on L2?
3. Does my husband need extend his L1B even if his I94 is valid?

Yes, Visa is only an entry document.

2. Will my L1 rejection have any impact on L2?
Was your Visa rejected or your company's petition rejected? Either way it will not affect L2 application.
3. Does my husband need extend his L1B even if his I94 is valid?
