SSN late for Immigration Data

Hi ,
I came to USA with L1 B and i applied SSN last 3months and i have not receive the SSN due to Immigration issue .They are telling they are unable to get the Immigration data . Could you please let me know ,whom i need to contact .I am staying at Chicago,IL,USA.
