L1 B-Extension

Hi,

Im an L1B visa holder and it expires by August. I have few questions regarding that.
1)How soon can my company apply for my L1b extension ?
2)Once its approved, will the 'start' date be the date my current one expires, or will it be from the day that the extension gets approved?
3)Also please let me know how long will it take for my L1B extension to get approved?

Are you in the US in L1 status? If so, when does your I-94 expire?

Your employer can file petition extension anytime. They can request a start date 6 months from filing. If you are in the US, they must file before your I-94 expires and request a start date 1 day after the I-94 date, so that your status will be extended and you will receive a new I-94.

Yes, I'm in US.My visa & I-94 both expires by August.
