L1 To H1 after leapfrog

I am L1 with Comapny A, I also have H1B from Company B, which they did in 2008, with a Validity date of Nov 2011. Due to H1B stamping issues I came to US on L1 visa.

Question 1: Can I start working for Company B based on my H1B approval notice, or is there a process like they should do H1B amendement., can they also file extention along with amendement, since H1B with expire on Nov 2011.

Question 2: Can I get H1B trasfer done with Comapny C, using my H1B approval of Comapny B.

Please........help!!!!
