Fresh L2 visa with Expired L1 visa/petition

Hello,
I came to US in Feb, 2011 with just one month of valid visa/Petition(L1). At port of entry, I was given I 94 till Feb, 2014. Now, Having my visa/petition expired, Is it possible to process L2 visa for my wife with just my valid I 94? Please give your suggestion.

Note: I cant renew my petition either as I have 2 more years of valid I 94.

Thanks a lot for your response.My visa/Petition expiry month is Mar/2011 and I 94 expiry month is Feb,2014. In that case, what would be the dependent visa/petition's expiry date?

It should be based on I-94.

My case is same as Listed below,

My Visa is already expired but I94 is valid till 2015. when i try to take appointment for VISA interview for my wife using BEP Appointment link, it does not allow me to continue further on
"Petition details from form I-797. It says

"Your Petition has expired, Please renew your petition and apply for a U.S. Visa"

Can anyone help me what i did wrong here?

Unfortunately that is the problem with L1 blanket as they issue I-94 for straight 3 years irrespective of the petition expiry date. Visa interview cannot be scheduled based on a valid I-94. You need a valid L1 petition to schedule the visa interview. If you need to get L2 for your dependents, then you need to get the L1 petition extended even though your I-94 remains valid.
