Maritial Status updates for L1 Visa holders

Hi,

I am a L1 Visa holder. I got married in on 1st may 2011 and came to US on 30th may 2011. My organisation is processing L2 visa for my wife. My wife's passport was applied before marriage and was issued on 8th May 2011 and it does not contain my name in spouse's name. Will this needs to be changed or is this fine.

Also do I need to update my marital status from single to married anywhere?
