L2 stamping in Canada

Hi,
Me and My hubby are in L1 and work for the same company. now i want to get L2 for me. Can i resign from my current company and go to Canada and get my L2 stamped. Bcoz if i apply for L1 to L2 conversion also i need to resign and wait for my l2 petition.
Can anyone know the procedure of L2 stamping in Canada ?
