Hi,
My L1-B petition expires in Sep 2011. This is the 1st phase of 3 years. Since I have been promoted and manage teams as well as functions , I requested a conversion to L1-A which should be filed in some time.
Before coming to US I did manage teams across projects for more than a year but the visa applied was L1-B since at that level my company's immigration team applies only for L1-B.
Will it be an issue proving to USCIS as to how did I make the transition from a specialized knowledge worker to a Manager in 3 years? I know people in my company have done this before so I know it can be done....will my promotion while on US payroll make my case stronger? I work for a very reputed company and myself am an Engineer and an MBA and work in the Consulting division of my company (IT services & consulting)
