L1 visa Pending under 221(g) Admin Processing

Hi farajana, I have checked 13th July PDF. One thing I noticed that my bar code is not there but the bar code of my wife has been added in the current PDF. I have applied L1A and L2 for my wife and daughter. From the day of interview I could only see the bar code of mine and not for my dependents. The first time I can see the bar code of my wife.

Don't know what is the actual case. I am confused.

Hi Pronab, did you check 15th July file? Whats the status? Between, were your bar code within 100 when it disappeared from PDF? Currently my barcode is present and not my 2 kids (L2 dependents). I am not sure if it would be the same case like yours once my barcode disappears from PDF, my kids may appear.. Not sure whats happening.

Yes, I have checked 15th July PDF. My bar code is still not there but it is present for my wife. I have sent a email to consulate but didn't get any reply. Don't know what is happening.

What @ your daughter? Her bar code is also present along with your wifes one? Also, were your barcode within 100 when it was disappeared?

No, my daughter's barcode is not there.Only my barcode no was there till 13th july PDF and from 13th july only wife's no is there. My barcode was not within 100. I am telling the no, it is 208 now. Don't know what to do.

Hi Pronab, I do not think, number has anything to do.. My number was 173 on 15th and today, I am on 137. I am hoping my number to disappear this week only.. I also hope to see positive outcome of your case. Pl. do let me know once you get call from Kol consulate.

Did you receive any reply to your email? If number is missing from PDF, does that mean, processing is completed?

Hi Farajana,
I am never so lucky. My case is still pending. My bar code no is again appearing and not for my wife. I think mistakenly it was changed on 13&15th July PDF. I am on 169 on yesterday's PDF. I will be on trouble if my case is not processed by 1st week of August and I will probably miss my assignment. I am looking every PDF updation as it is now very important for me.I have not received any reply from VFS/Consulate. But they sent that mail to my company asking not to contact frequently. My company's travel dept telling me not to contact consulate directly and I should not expect a ‘clearance’ for a min. of 3-4 months. Actually, no timeline nowadays.

May be US wants to stop non immigrants flow, so 221g could be just one way so that we can withdraw our applications instead of waiting for long, but lets be positive. I am sure, our visa will get through soon. They did mention to touchbase after 60 days of application. So you can try on 1st Aug. Actually my husband has valid L1, so I was thinking for L2. But if this whole stuff is around name check, then guess, even L2 will not help. Lets, quietly wait and watch, everyday PDF update. I think, "Processing Completed" should be the appropriate status but one of the blog- the person's mother was on 221g visitor visa and her barcode disappeared from PDF and later within 2 days, she got call from consulate. This is Kol consulate case only. So this creates confusion for us to understand on which stage, we need to connect to consulate. Isn't it? Also, I am from Mumbai and as Mumbai consulate is closed, had to come to Kol for PA. I have all visas from Mumbai only and never faced this problem before, even for Muslim name. So not sure why now? Everyone is surprised, me getting 221g.. Its just impossible as I can travel to US, even now when I have valid B1 and passport is with me. GOD knows what will they check on my name if this is just BGC. They should have ideally denied me B1 also then! Isn't it?

You are correct we can't guess the actual reason. We don't know why you are facing this problem this time even if you have a valid B1 visa. Also why for me? This process is just troubling to many people like us. Don’t know when it will be processed.

No luck... I do not think my case will be processed so early as my PA was just on 27th June and Pronab is of 1st June. So I will have to wait unless Pronab's case get clearance. I checked 22nd July PDF and observed 9003625499 (nearest my bar code) status "Processing Completed", just browsed thru prev PDFs and realized this case was 1st appeared on 5th May PDF, 3 months for processing!!!!!So we should patiently wait....

No luck for me also.. If this is the case that it takes min 3 months for processing then I will surely miss my assignment. Now I am looking for next PDF updation.
