L1B extn rejected, L1A to be applied or not

Hi,

I returned to India from US in Nov 2010 because of the denial of L1B (Individual) extension. Reason given was "Unjustified Specialized Knowledge".

My company now wants to apply L1A (Individual) for me, as I am in a manager position in company.

However it is less than a year that I am in India. So should we go ahead with L1A application ? What are the rules to file for a fresh L1A application ?
Is there a risk of rejection of new application here ?

Please advise.
