    Dependent Visa while extension is in process

    Hi All,

    Currently I in USA on L1B and applied for extension which is still in process. My wife has to go back to India and come on L1 VISA and we are planning to bring our mother-in-law to take care of my kid for some time. So, I would like to know if at all if it is possible to apply for a dependent visa for my mother-in-law while my L1B Visa extension is in process.

    Please share your thoughts.

    You mother in law can apply for her visitor visa and you can fund her trip. She cannot be any of your dependent.
