Is Original I-797 mandatory for L2 Visa interview?

Hi,

I dont have my husband's original I-797 form which is specified as mandatory requirement in the guidance sheet. It lies with my husband in US. Can I attend the L2 interview with the photocopy of the same??

My wife will go for the interview next week. But the original I-797 is with me in the US. Please share your experience. did you face any problem for carrying the photo copy?
