I-94 with wrong name - Tricky problem
This is my first time US trip and I filled wrong information on the I-94 form. Example, my first name is "AAA BBB" and my last name is "ZZZ YYY", in I-94 I gave First name as "AAA" and Family name as "BBB"
For any wrong information in I-94 they wont issue SSN until we correct the information. But in my case they issued me SSN with First Name "AAA" and Last name "BBB". When I went to SSN office to correct this information they told me to correct the I-94 information. And I read on the internet that correcting the I94 has some charges around $300 to $400 and its a lengthy process.
I am planning for a vacation to india and I am thinking of correcting this information when they issue a new I-94 form. Is this assumption valid?
Need directions on how to proceed further.
