L1 on USA now (planning for wifes L2 on chennai)

Hi,

I am on L1B status and in usa now.. my pettition exp date is nov-10-2011.

my L1b extension is pending, and planning to do the visa stamping for my wife on sep 2011(i filled the ds-160 form using old petition number)
my questions are ;;

1) if i got the approval before my wife's interview whether she can use that notice to get her L2 with extended expiry date?

2) or suppose if I got my extension approval after my wife's l2 stamping , and before she is entering into usa.. whether she can use my extended pettition in POE to get I-94 with extended expiry date??

I am sure if both didn't workout I have to apply her extension seperately after she entered into usa.

>>> She can carry that approval notice along with the old one. By showing both the approval notice, the VO can issue the visa with expiry date matching the extended petition.

I got the extension approval and my wife going to PAI on sep-6th with the ds-160 filed using current petition #(not the extension one).

so during the interview if the VO didn't ask anything about my petition means at what point of time my wife can explain VO that I have two petition number(including the extension approval). Whether she can tell once the interview is over? or she can interupt VO in the middle?

Better talk to the VFS helpdesk before the interview. They may be able to help you update the latest petition information. When the VO asks for the petition, ask her to handover both the petitions and explain that the extension got approved.
