Hi,

I am working on an L2 - EAD. My wife is planning to leave US for 3 weeks and come back again. Can I still be in US and work?

Any short trip by the primary H1B/L1 holder outside U.S without their dependents are permitted. If yours spouse has to stay out of the country for a longer duration for any reason will make your stay illegal. There is no L2/H4 status without the L1/H1B candidate maintaining the respective status and when a person leave U.S, they are no longer hold any status.
