L2 Visa

Hi,

I will be getting married in Dec'11. I will be travelling to US in Jan'12 and would want my wife to travel with me on L2. (I already have a L1B visa)

Do I need to have my wife's name on my passport? If yes, then what will happen to my L1 Visa which is already there?

Is the marriage certificate enough to prove my marital status? how much time is required to get the L2 visa? Do I need to be in the US if my wife is applying for L2 visa?

Name on passport is not required. Your wife can produce marriage certificate if asked for at the interview.
