L1 B - 221g - Orange slip - Kolkata US Consulate

Dear Friends,

I have faced L1B interview at Kolkata on 1st Sept 2011. I have been given an orange slips of 221 g "Not clearly Approvable".

If any one of you have same experience, Could you please guide me and what would be my next course of action.

What did the interviewer say to you at the end ?

She asked me to apply for another category. I was at window - 5 and nothing has been checked in my orange slip as document required. Please share your experience too.

Hi Vijay,

Mine was counter 5 too.

These are what I orange(rather amber color) form has -
Front page:
1. At the top - my name
2. From your Petitioner - nothing has been checked
3. Other : not checked. Only one one point is there.
4. Important - strikethrough
Back page:
5. L-1 Blanket Applicants - 'Specialized Knowledge Professional' has been striked.

Does all these mean - I have to go for a different VISA?

Think both of you have gone by L1b Blanket visa
Pls correct me if its wrong

So 'not clearly approved' means this visa category does not suit , blanket is claimed for special knowledge( a bit of luck)
Options you got- if you have applied through attorney- do contact him

Or apply for L1b individual or H1b

221(g) orange slip

I too got the orange slip from the consulate in kolkata on 13 Dec 2011. The form had none of the options checked on it, only Others has been ticked mentioning-Additional verification/Processing.I have applied for J-1 visa and I went on with all the required documents. The consular told that they will call after 14 days. Has anybody faced the same situation, got the call later? Please share your experience.
