L2 Visa

Hi,

I am on an L1A and supposed to get married in Nov 20 2011. Is there an issue if we fill the applications before the marriage and schedule an appointment for Nov 25 which is after the marriage? I am doing this to save on time.

Also, will I have to apply for an L2-A for my wife or is there no categorization for L2 (A or B) like it is there for L1?

L2 is just L2 and your wife applies for herself not you. Both of you can go together for your individual Visas.
You can certainly book the appointment before the wedding, but make sure you have certificate at the time of appointment.

I am currently in US and have a valid L1A. My would be wife would be applying for an L2 and I wanted to schedule an appointment in advance before the marriage date, the date of appointment will be post marriage. But I think you clearly specified as long as we have a valid marriage certificate on the date of appointment, we are good.
