  • L1 individual visa expired.. what is next?

    Hi
Through L1 Individual visa, i traveled for 2 months and came back to India. Now, my visa expired on August 2011. So, after that expiration, my company processed L1 Blanket again this month (September 2011), but unfortunately, my visa got rejected.

Now, my company saying that we can process L1 Individual petition again. If we apply L1 individual again, are there any possibilities to get through?

Or, Is there any way to extend my old expired L1 individual petition from India?

I need to travel on November. Please, someone give me some good suggestions?

    Thanks in advance
    Sathish

There have been cases where the L1 blanket is rejected and later L1 individual got cleared successfully. Extension of status is not possible When you are outside U.S (EOS will come with a new I-94. For that you need to be present in U.S). There is no big difference between filing an extension compared to filing a new petition. The difference is only in checking different set of checkboxes in the application. Your employer is doing the right thing by filing L1 individual. If that gets rejected, then the only option is to file H1B.
