  • Help with L2 Visa documents (i129s & i797)

    Hi,

I am looking for some help with L2 dependent VISA documentation.

I got my L1-Blanket visa in Nov 2010 (from New Delhi). Unfortunately, my case was on hold for 2 months (as it was under 221g administrative processing) However, after 2 months I got my visa stamped and it was sent to my Office in Noida. As I am from Hyderabad, our Noida team couriered me my passport. (passport only no other document)

During all this process, I could not ensure if I have all the important documents. And now when I am planning to apply L2 visa, I realized that I would need my form i129s. Unfortunately, I don’t have this i129s form with me.

Currently I am in US (recently came Aug 2011) and planning for L2 Visa for my wife. Could you please let me know if the form i129s & i797 are mandatory for L2 Visa Interview/PoE?

Kindly request you to suggest me how to proceed with this and let me know if there is a possibility of getting this form i129s now (with in US) so that I can start my visa processing.

Please do help and let me know experiences that will be very useful to me.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Regards,
    Mohammad Ansari

Since you were on a blanket visa; the 797 is a generic approval notice which your company's immigration team would be able to provide you; get in touch with them...I had done the same when I needed to
