Stay after apply for L1 extension

Hi,

My visa and I-94 were expired on Aug 23rd 2011. My employer has applied for extension on August 8th. Still the status is in "INITIAL REVIEW".

How long I can stay in US after my visa & I-94 expired? Is that count starts from expired time of I-94 or the time applied for L1 extension?

Please help me in this.

You can practically stay as long as extension remains pending if receipt date for the extension is before I-94 date.
If extension is denied, your illegal stay is counted from the I-94 date.
