L2 visa extension required?

Hi,

My 2 yrs son is on L2 visa and i am on L1 visa. My company has filed an extension for my L1 visa through I-129. Do they also need to file the extension of my son's dependent visa separately? Or since he is not working (he's just 2 yrs old), is the extension of his visa not required and he can get the visa stamped with me when we visit India next time?
Please suggest.

You should apply for his L2 status extension.

Will my company apply that or do i need to apply that individually? And what form do i need to use for it? I-129 or I-539 ?

If your son's I-94 is expiring, technically it is your son's responsibility to apply. Your company may file on his behalf. The correct form is I-539 and it is based on the your employer's I-129.

Thanks all. Apparently, my company did apply for it when they filed I-129 for me but i was not informed of it. I got to know the details from them today and am still waiting for the receipt number. thanks all for your reply.
