  • L1 Visa renewal (stamping) for non-Indian citizen in US Consulate (India)

    Hello

My spouse is an Australian citizen (on L1 visa) while I am an Indian citizen (L2 visa). We currently live in the US. We recently got our L1/L2 visa extensions approved by USCIS. We are planning to visit India in January 2012, and we have to get our visas stamped while we are there. The US consulate website only allows scheduling an appointment for Indian residents or US resident but indian citizen. Since my spouse does not fit into either of these categories, what is the procedure for non-indian citizens to schedule a visa renewal appointment in India?

    Thanks
    -P

You should contact the US consulate and VFS.
In general, IMO your spouse should be able to apply for Visa at US Consulates/Embassy in India.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
