  • L1 stamping required?

Alright folks so this is a possibly silly question

My visa stamp has expired but I have the L1 extension notice with a new I-94 etc. I am planning on traveling to Puerto Rico for thanksgiving. Do I need to have a stamped L1 to reenter US ?

Puerto Rico is US territory so common sense dictates that its like traveling between 2 states of US so why should I need anything other than a valid photo id..though an acquaintaince insists I need a valid visa stamp as I am traveling overseas (duh!) and his friend had to do it...generally whenever he says he is sure, you can be sure he is wrong hoping the same here

You don't need a Visa for PR. You will not even be asked for the passport (DL or state ID is enough). But it is advisable to carry all your papers with you.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
