L1b to H1B -COS

Hi,

I would like to go for L1 to H1B change of status.Do we have any specific time limit to do this process?Kindly advise.

Assuming this is your first H1B, the COS should be filed before the CAP for the fiscal year 2012 closes. If the CAP is met, the you can file the H1B only on April 1st 2012 and the start date for that will be on or after Oct 1st 2012.
