Hi,
This is Naeem. I am in the US on L1-A visa since Nov - 2008. The visa expired on 15JUN11. My employer applied for an extension on 24MAY11. Till now there is no answer about the extension. Five months are over.
I heard that if visa extension is applied before expiry then a person can stay & work in the US for 240 days, that is 8 months. But is it recommended to stay that long if there is no answer or is it better to leave the US if there is no answer for six months. Please advise.
Also, now I have about one month remaining to complete six months after application of extension. Will it be better to go for premium processing?
I will appreciate a quick help.
Regards,
Naeem
