Hi, I am on L1A visa since last 6 months. My company is facing serious financial problems and might not even survive. The top management of my company have left their jobs. I wish to apply for green card and as it seems the only option is to apply on my own. Is it possible to apply for green card process on my own ? If yes, please tell me the process and if not then please tell me what are the minimum steps that my company needs to do.

The company for all practical purposes is a signatory authority and have to provide various docs around their financial statements, annual reports etc. Let's put it this way - the petition is filed by them on your behalf, so even if it is an attorney that prepares everything with information supplied by you; to the USCIS it is your employer filing the green card.
The authority probably will be vested in the company's HR team or an individual on behalf of the HR - it would be better if you are not the undersigned since as I said the company has to do it for you
Considering your company's situation I feel it is best if you engage a good immigration attorney who can guide you the best based on all factors including your company's current financial health, as well as guide you on preparing the supporting docs like the org chart etc...
