Me and my husband just went to an appointment at the embassy in our home country to get our passports stamped for L1 visa to allow us re-entry into USA. We have come to our home country for vacation to see family.
We took all documents on the list but the officer said we took wrong I-129 and petition. We took the latest one from recent renewal. Should we have taken the original I-129 and petition from the first application?
The officer kept our passports and credit card details and informed my husband to email original petition and no need to return to embassy. We did not get any official slip, just the officer's word.
Is it good they kept our passports and credit card info? I am confused and do not know if visa will be denied or if our passports will be mailed to us with visa stamp after they look at the missing documents.
