  • Very Urgent help

    Hi All
I had a visa extension rejection (L1-B) November 2011 and my company is applying a new L1-B again where I am supposed to fill my DS-160. In the DS-160 i have answered the question "have your Visa been ever refused by US consulate" as No and submitted. Should it be Yes or No?. I have lot of confusion since Visa extension rejection is not rejection of a new visa or Petition as stated by people here. Is that right? Would it be a problem because I answered No? My PAI date is next week, so quick help is really appreciated. Thanks

what was the reason for rejection? You should have answered YES to the question and provided the reason for it therein. I would suggest to correct the same in the DS-160 before going for the interview. This is my opinion , please do check with experts too.

The above is not correct. Visa is what you apply with a consulate/embassy, if that was rejected answer yes.
Petition (extension or new) is something your employer files with USCIS, and it is very different from Visa. So only petition denial does not mean Visa denial.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

I guess it should've been a yes and it would open a box where you can explain in the DS-160 itself. I'm not sure but do reveal that in your interview as you'll never know what they know. good luck
