Hi,

My L1 B Visa is vaild till July 2012 but I-94 till Jan 2014 , whereas i am getting married and have to finalize my dates , can i have my dates fixed for June or July 2012 . Will there be any trouble in getting my spouse's visa cause i would be left with only one month visa validity. What is the best option cause i wish to bring her before the visa expires. My Employer would be extending my visa and will there be any trouble if i travel, please let me know which is the best option so that i can get my dates finalized with minimum trouble.

As and when you leave US, your I-94 will have to be submitted at the airport . If you enter US back (before visa expiry) you would be given a new I-94 validity of which will be decided at POE when you re-enter. You will not be able to re-enter without a fresh stamping if you come back after July 2012. Further, you can only file extension Max 6 Months before I-94 expiry, so you cannot file for extension before Jul/Aug 2013 based on your current I-94. One option for you would be to plan to get married in June 2012, start your wife's L2 processing and plan to travel together before your visa expires in July 2012. It may be too tight a schedule for this, or the other option would be to go for your marriage and apply for Fresh L1 while in India, go for stamping together and then travel. You have to plan properly so that you get married, apply for wife's L2 get L2 and travel, all before your visa expiry. No issues if you can accomplish all this before your visa expiry. This is my opinion, please do consult experts too.
