L-1 Extension

Hi All,

I have a quick question.

I am currently on L-1A visa which is to expire first week of August.

Since we can apply 6 months in advance, my company is thinking of applying in Feb itself.

My question is, say if the extension approval comes by early March, would I be getting extension till early March of 2014 or the extension would be provided till August of 2014?

It can be August 2014 provided your company files correctly.

It depends on how much your company asks for, how much time is remaining from your 7 year limit and a maximum of 3 years. This period will start from end of your current I-94.
