L2Visa_Marriage Certificate authentication

Intend to apply for my wife's L2Visa from Delhi US Consulate.
We have marriage certificate issued from Marriage Officer issued from West Bengal State.

Is it required/mandatory to authenticate the certificate by the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India before going for the Visa Interview?

No. We haven't done this in our case... I think you should be good with certificate as it is...
