    I have L1 Blanket Visa which is going to expire on June 08 2012, but my I-94 is valid till Jan 29 2013, can i stay beyond my Visa expiration date after June 08 2012?

    yes you can provided your company is still paying you salary. Also, if you go out of US, you can re enter only after a fresh visa stamping. This is my opinion.

      Yes, I-94 determines your permitted duration of stay.
      Valid Visa is needed for traveling. So if you travel abroad after Visa expiry, you will need to obtain a new Visa in order to return.

        Thanks for the response, i'm planning to go back for a vacation on August 2012 for my marriage, so based on the response it seems, i have to start work on the new visa initiated my company ASAP, so that i can go back to india on August.

        do we need to request for the new visa or i can request for the extension for my current visa?

              Just apply for the Visa at a US Consulate/Embassy like you did before. The process is the same whatever you call it new application, extension, renewal etc.
              Remember there have been quite a few denials for blanket L1 Visas recently. Your company may want to file individual petition or H1B for you.
