L1 B visa expiration and extending driver License

My L1 Blanket visa and I94 is expiring on aug 24th and so is my PA Drivers License. How can i get extension of my Driver License while applying for visa extension. I heard that in IL state they extend any expired driver license without I 94 or any other visa documents. Is it possible in any other states in Usa? please advise...

Instead of trying to find a work around, the better option is to file the extension well in advance and renew the driving license based on the extended I-94. You are allowed to file the extension 6 months prior to the current I-94 expiry date.

In addition, you can only apply in your home state where you have residence, not just any state. Some state do give a temporary DL for a few months based on pending extension if it comes to that. Check with PA DMV.
