Travel on visitor Visa before completing 1 yr

Hello.

My wife is working in the US on H1B Visa. I am currently working in India. I will complete 1 year in my company in 1st week of August'12, after which my company will file for L1.

I wish to visit wife in May '12, for about 2 weeks. I have two questions regarding the visit:

1) will that have adverse effect on L1?
2) will those 2 weeks be counted/ not counted towards 1 year in my company in India?

No, no effect at all, positive or negative.
2) will those 2 weeks be counted/ not counted towards 1 year in my company in India?
Assuming you use H4 or B2 Visa, it will not count, only H1 or L1 counts.
