Please Help!!! I-94 expired on Dec 2011 with valid L2 visa till July 2012.

I am currently in a worried situation and would need your suggestions,

Here is my situation:
As my passport was expiring on Dec 2011, the CBP officer gave the I-94 valid till Dec 2011 but the L2 Visa was valid till July 2012. I renewed the passport and got it back on Dec 2011 but completely forgot about I-94. Just today I realised about my I-94 and understand the issue is very serious. My L2 EAD has also expired on Dec 2011.

Can I get some guidance please?

Leave the country immediately and return back on L2 visa. Return all your I-94s when you leave the country. When you are back in L2, apply for EAD. If you stay illegally for more than 180 days, you will get 3 year ban from entering U.S. If you stay illegally for more than 365 days, you will get a 10 year automatic ban. Avoid more illegal stay. Leave the country as soon as possible.
