Need clarification in getting transfer from L2 to L1.

Hi ,

currently i am working on L2 EAD in US. and my employer wants to transfer my visa
status to L1 .

I will be travelling to india and so planning for consular process to get L1.

What all documents i need to take care ? please guide.

And also if apply for L1 will they cancel my L2 ? or what are chances of getting rejections?

If my L1 get rejected and L2 is not canceled. can i still travel on L2 and work here?
