L2 extension after L1 ext approval

Hi,

My L-1A extension approved 2 weeks back. As me, my spouse, son have i-94 valid, my firm did not apply for L2 extension along with me.

can they go ahead and apply for extension now? if yes, how much time it take?

If their I-94 is expiring within the next 6 months, they can apply. It takes 2 to 3 months for processing.

thank you. i-94 is valid for 2 more years. my understand is they need extension for Visa stamp if they travel outside US. is it correct?

If their Visas have expired at the time of return, they will need to apply at US Consulate abroad.
