Question - L1 Extension or new H1 B filing.

Hello Friends
I am on L1-B from April 2010. My L1-B is expiring now in Dec 2012.
seems like at present L1-B extension - cases are under high scrutiny and most of the extension cases are being reject or under RFE.

Pls. Suggest should it be good to take risk, wait and apply for L1-B Extension in Dec 2012

or should i try to ask to my company to file H1-B instead of extension.

I guess H1-B will now filed, will be effective october?

Side Note: I have applied for GC (EB-2), for which the PERM is in Audit.

you should try for H1 IMO espescially since it works out perfect for you in terms of timing...if H1 gets denied, no worries...you can still apply L1B extension in time before Dec 2012

by H! IMO ? is that a new h1B without status change ? I m not sure what IMO stands for?
