L2 - Passport renewed - I94 Expiring on 25th June 2012

Hi Shervin,
My son's ( 5 Yrs ) I94 expiring on 25th This month. I recently got his passport renewed( I94 expires on the old passport's expiration data ). I checked with USCIS and Diferred inspection (Customs). they are advisin me to extend the I94. Do I have enough time to get this I94 extended? Do I have any other options?
