L2 Visa process for child in india

Hi,

Me and my wife are staying in USA on L1 and L2 visas, we want apply L2 visa for my child who lives in INDIA with their grand parents.

Can you please let me know what are the necessary documents required for l2-Visa (If my in-laws will take my kid for visa interview).?

How old is your kid? I think one of the parents needs to accompany for a child less than 5 years for visa stamping... We will wait for our experts opinion....All the best.

Yes, at least one parent should attend the visa interview with a minor child. If possible, both parents should attend, with their own passports (current and previous) and the child’s birth certificate. If one parent cannot attend, the accompanying parent should bring a sole custody order, a death certificate for the absent parent, or a notarized statement of consent from the absent parent for the child to apply for a U.S. visa.

Latest Update: A recent update on the VFS WebSite indicates that the nonimmigrant visa interview is waived at all U.S. Consular offices in India for children who are under seven years of age.
