  • L1 Visa Help

    Hi,

I have been twice rejected for B1/B2 visa in the past, the first rejection happened last year in the month of July 2011 and I tried for B1/B2 again in the month of January 2012 which also got rejected. Now my company is applying L1 individual visa for me.Please help me if my past rejection on B1/B2 will play as a factor in getting an approval on my L1 individual.

It will not affect, but it needs to be mentioned in your DS160 form whenever you apply for Visa.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

L1 Visa expiring but peition i.e. I-129S is valid

      Hi,

My L1 Visa would be expired in April 2013. Where as the petition i.e. I-129S is valid till Mar 2014.
At present i am required to travel to US for one year.

So can i continue working in US even after L1 visa is expired i.e. after April 2013?

      Please can anyone clarify.

      Thanks,
      MGGG.

Your duration of permitted stay will be determined at the port of entry and will be written on your I-94. Generally 3 years is given. If you leave the US at any point after your Visa expiry, you will need to obtain a new Visa, but you can stay in the US until your I-94 date.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
