L1 to l2/ead (urgent !!!)

Hi

Myself and Mywife are in L1 Visa for different Employers, and my current L1 visa max out and expirer June 25th. We have applied Change of Status (i-539) and EAD (I-765) together on March 26th. Its been more than two months and still says "Initial Review" and i haven't received Bio-metrics call as well.

- What is the timeline to approve COS/EAD?

- Also usually Bio-metrics will be send by week or two. But i haven't received yet. Is Bio-metrics always necessary ? or sometimes they dont need? Please advise.

>>> If this is your first L2 EAD, then it is a necessary. During renewals, they may or may not call for bio-metrics.

For this case i took infopass appointment lastweek, since my EAD still pending and no bio-metrics were requested. Today i i got mail response from USCIS saying that my case is in still "Pending Consideration" and they didnt say anything about bio-metrics?

- What is"Pending Consideration" ?

- Will they ask bio-metrics after the decision made?

Applied on 1st May 2012.. L1 to L2 (COS i539) and i765.
No Biometric appointment till now. Raised SR. Response is 'Biometric is not required for your case'. After that I am waiting. No more updates.

Hi Ead2012

I am in similar situation, L1 to L2 COS, L2 approved, EAD pending and even after 60 no bio-metrics appointment. I have raised an SR not got any response.
Were you able to get the EAD with in 90 days? Please can you let me know how long did it take for you to get the EAD.
Also please share now what steps or approach need to follow to get the EAD with in 90 days time.
