  • Query about "Current Status" in DS-160 while on LOA

My fiancé is filling up DS-160 for L2 Visa interview . She is currently working in India , by the time of visa interview she would be on a long leave of absence .

The DS-160 form asks for previous employment details and current status.

I guess previously employment details should be filled in . Do we need any proof of her employment during visa interview ? That employment has technically nothing to do with the Visa

I am unclear about "Current Status" . Should it be HomeMaker or Employed ? If we specify it as "Employed" , will there be any complications ? Would additional documents be needed ?

If she is working mention it as "Employed" and provide the employer details. Never a good idea to lie on DS-160. This should not affect her L2 visa processing. This is my opinion, not legal advice.

Actually there are two sections , current employment and past employment.
There is only one company she has worked with all the while , the question is

"Were You Employed Previously" . The should is technically yes , but then it asks for start and end date . I believe answer for this should be "No" .

If this is the only company she has worked, answer no.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
