Hi All,
I hold a valid H1B visa till Jan 2014 and recently got married.
Because my employer could not apply for my wife's H1B visa on time he is ready to apply for H1B to L1B conversion (change of status). Once my L1B visa is approved my wife can get L2 EAD and can work in USA.
My question is what exactly happens in change of status from H1B to L1B? does my H1B visa gets invalidated? If suppose I get a very good opportunity while in USA, can I get this old H1B transfered to new employer or I will be not be eligible for H1B transfer as I would be working on L1B?
just to cut it short, is my H1B still valid when I apply for H1 to L1 change of status?
