Currently have an EAD based on L2 visa. My EAD is expiring on Sept 13 2012, while L2 visa expires only in March 2013. I had applied for EAD renewal in May this year and yesterday I got RFE from USCIS asking for evidence of L2 renewal. Now my problem is that we can't file for L1+ L2 renewal before September 2012 (6 months prior to expiry) and hence I can't give USCIS any renewal documents as of today.
Basis this information, is it possible to request USCIS to renew my EAD for the remaining term of my current valid L2 (i.e for the next 8 months upto March 2013 ) and then file for extension again when L2 renewal papers are filed???? Please help, as I am really stressed out that I will lose my job in September if my EAD is not extended. Thanks.
