US Travel Eligibility on L1A

HI,

I wanted to check with you on my legality status to travel to US again. I had stayed in the US for nearly 6 yrs 8 months and have returned back to India now. Please find my entry and exit dates and let me know if I am eligible to travel to US and for how long can I stay there ?. Please note that I had stayed for the first 6 yrs on H1B and later applied for L1A to stay for another year.

My current L1A Visa is valid till Nov 2013. I believe I have to stay outside of US for atleast 1 year before I could travel again. Please review my Entry (to US) and Exit (from US) dates and advise on which date exactly will I be eligible to travel again till my L1A visa expires in Nov 2013 ? Can my L1A visa be extended further ?

If you enter US after 28 Oct 2012 you would have stayed away for more than a year so the clock would be reset and you can get a fresh 7 year term. You can certainly travel on the L1A visa stamped on your passport valid till Nov 2013 but your I-94 may only be issued till Nov 2013 and you will have to file for an extension again when in US.

Just so I underatnd the response correctly, did you mean that I am eligible to travel to US again with immediate effect and donot have to stay till Oct 28, 2012since I have my L1A valid. Once I reach Nov 2013, I can still renew my L1A for another 2 yrs twice withou having to return from US if I to extend my stay ?

Also will I have any issue with transferrign the L1A visa to H1B and/or apply for Green Card if I travel to US before Oct 28, 2012.
