L1B to L1A to Green Card on EB1:
Hello,
When I first came to US in 2009, I was on L1B visa, early this year (2012) my L1A visa was approved.
My employer is now going to file green card for me, however, I have been told by my company attorney that EB2 category will be applied to me as during my inter-company transfer was not on L1A visa but my L1A visa was approved while I was in US.
How true is this?
I have not found out any such policy on USCIS website and have come across forums where people have mentioned similar cases where they got their green card filed in EB1 and they got it within a year.
I would really appreciate a prompt response from the experts here?
