    How long can L1B visa holders work in US?

    Hi,

    I am on l1 visa. I finished my 2 years working on l1 visa in US. Now I was asked to apply for H1. The reason they explained me is that according to the INS directions the L1B visa holders cannot stay more that 2 years in US. Is this true? As far my knowledge L1B visa holders can stay for about 5 years in US. Is there any change of rule for L1B holders in 2005?
