Current L1B visa got damaged

Hello!

My first L1B visa is valid till July 2013. I spilled some water on the visa stamp and it got damaged. No damage to Indian passport though.

US Consulate advised me to get it re-stamped when I visit India next time.

My question is, what are the chances of me being denied a replacement visa during the interview process? Can a valid L1B visa be rejected while applying for a replacement stamp?

There is no such thing as replacement stamp. It it just like any other application and comes with the same risks. You don't have to leave just for the sake of it, but if you leave the US you will need to get it.
